ART...ESSENZ No.11

From August 7th to 9th all visitors have the unique chance to buy affordable art, as none of the original art works will cost more than 100 €.

But that is not the only special feature of the event. All 50 exhibiting international artists are going to sell their own works. That is why all visitors have the opportunity to become acquainted with the artists and to gain insight into their work. A broad range of art works are to be offered, which guarantees a wide choice of originals of different styles like statuary, photography or painting.

An important goal of the ART…ESSENZ is to create a relaxed atmosphere in which art becomes available and acquirable for everybody. Entrance free of charge.

Ride-In Bike Show

On August 1st the Sony Center am Potsdamer is going to be a perfect destination for all motorbike fans. The “Ride-In Bike Show” at the Forum only presents flamboyantly Harley-Davidson bikes. From 11 a.m. visitors are able to see 50 to 60 extra-ordinary designed bikes from up close. From 1 p.m. a jury of experts rates the best bikes and declares a winner in five categories which will receive an exclusive trophy.  The award ceremony is going to start at 3 p.m.

Vattenfall Energy Arena

From August 15th to 23rd Berlin is going to host the most important sports event of the year worldwide: the World Championships in Athletics. Approx. 1,800 athletes of 47 different disciplines are going to compete for medals and records. Not only at the Olympic Stadium one can experience big sports, but also at the Sony Center,  which is going to host the ‘Vattenfall Energy Arena’. Vattenfall is one of the National Partners of the World Championships in Athletics and invites Berliners, fans and guests to measure themselves in five disciplines. This way visitors can compare their performances with the world records of the stars in an entertaining way and get to know how much energy is needed to achieve the results of top athletes. Additionally visitors have the chance of winning tickets to watch the world championship games in the Olympic stadium. Visitors are welcome to watch the live-broadcast of the sporting event on the LED screen in the Sony Center.
